Abstract

Objective: This study aims to design and conceptualize a comprehensive business ethics model for private trading companies, emphasizing an intercultural approach to enhance ethical decision-making, reduce corruption, and promote organizational sustainability.

Methodology: This applied qualitative study adopts an interpretive paradigm and employs Soft Systems Methodology (SSM). Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with ten experts in business ethics and commerce using purposive homogeneous sampling, complemented by documentary and library research. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis within the LUMAS conceptual framework.

Findings: The findings indicate that comprehensive business ethics can be structured around three interrelated core components: business ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable development. These components interact synergistically and, when integrated within an intercultural context, contribute to more adaptive, legitimate, and effective ethical frameworks for commercial activities. The proposed model demonstrates the capacity to guide organizational behavior and mitigate ethical and cultural conflicts.

Conclusion: The proposed comprehensive business ethics model, grounded in an intercultural perspective, offers a strategic framework for enhancing stakeholder trust, reducing commercial risks, and strengthening sustainability and accountability in private trading companies.
